Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force Shows Predictable Patriotism, Subpar VFX and Overused Pakistan Narrative
Sky Force, directed by Sandeep B and starring Akshay Kumar, Veer P, Sara K, Nimrat K, and Dinesh V, is an attempt to merge high-octane action with patriotic fervour. The trailer boasts aerial combat set pieces that are aggressive, emotional drama but sees through predictable storytelling, lousy VFX, and overused nationalistic tropes. Akshay Kumar’s image of a usual patriotic hero starts to get monotonous, and it feels like the rest of the cast is wasted. The visuals are not polished, and the screenplay depends on hackneyed dialogues and formulaic execution. Sky Force may be loved by the patriots but it will be short of its appeal among a broader audience because of lack of originality and cinematic depth.
