My wife complained today that the price of milk has again increased. So I asked my servant the prices of certain foodstuffs. And this is what he told me
Bread loaf of 8 slices– Rs 55
Milk Rs 60 per kilo
Dal Rs 300 per kilo ( arhar )
Chicken Rs 350 per kilo
Aaloo Rs 40 per kilo
Aata Rs 100 kilo
Egg ( crate of 30 ) Rs 200
Vegetables– nothing below Rs 60 to 70 per kilo
Prices of foodstuffs have again gone up in recent months in India
And there seems no end to such increase in the future.
This vindicates what I wrote in my article below

The time is coming in India when prices of basic foodstuffs will go up the roof, and these foodstuffs will become inaccessible to the ordinary man. Then, as stated in the Bhagavad Puran ( see Skandh 12 Adhyaya 2 shloka 9 ), people will start subsisting on roots, wild vegetation, flowers, flesh ( i.e. of dogs and cats, because chicken, fish and mutton will have become too expensive ), and seeds.

i.e.
प्रजा तरह-तरह के शाक, कन्द-मूल, मांस, जंगली फल-फूल और बीज-गुठली आदि खा-खाकर अपना पेट भरेगी
It seems achche din and vikaas have at last come to India
