Both of the leaders uploaded a video on social media November 29, 2025, in which they bowed their heads and requested forgiveness of all Indian families who had placed their trust into Patanjali.They also admitted that not all batches of Patanjali Cow Ghee were as pure as claimed.

In Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat, lab tests detected vegetable oil and animal fat impurities in the ghee rather than 100 percent pure cow milk fat. They were sold at high prices (₹850 -950 per 1 litre) but of low quality.
