Border 2, the sequel to the 1997 blockbuster Border, will release on January 23, 2026, Republic Day of India. Anurag Singh is directing this film with a stellar cast of Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh, playing Indian soldiers in the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. Valor, camaraderie, and patriotism will be woven into the plot in the hopes that it strikes the right chord for the audience just like its precursor. Shooting begins in November 2024 in authentic locations of North India. The production team will try to do justice to the original but will bring modern cinematic techniques into it.
