The third film in the Hindi Drishyam series is being presented as the final chapter of Vijay’s story. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the movie will bring back several familiar faces while also adding new actors to the franchise.
The latest poster carries a strong line from Vijay’s character: “Sahi ya galat, jo bhi ho… main apni family ke liye kisi bhi hadh tak ja sakta hoon.” The message again puts his family at the centre of everything he does.
The film will release in cinemas on October 2, 2026.
Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar
Ajay Devgn is once again playing Vijay Salgaonkar, the ordinary family man who became one of the most talked-about characters in Hindi crime thrillers.
The new poster shows Vijay looking tense and disturbed. A police car light can be seen behind him, adding to the feeling that his problems are far from over.
The first poster released earlier this week had focused closely on Devgn’s eye and carried another line about his family being his truth and what is right for him.
The new material suggests that the makers are keeping the same basic idea alive. Vijay will again be trying to protect his family, but this time the pressure around him appears to be much greater.
The earlier films were built around one central question — how far can Vijay go to save the people he loves?
The third part will take that story ahead.
The final chapter of the franchise
The official title is Drishyam The Conclusion, making it clear that the makers are treating this as the concluding chapter of the Hindi franchise.
The title was announced on August 24, along with the October 2 release date. The first poster showed a close-up of Ajay Devgn’s face and carried the words, “Mera Sach, Mera Sahi, Sirf Meri Family Hai.”
The new film will continue the story after the events of the earlier two movies.
For audiences who have followed Vijay and his family from the beginning, there are several unanswered questions. The biggest one is whether Vijay can once again stay ahead of the investigation.
But this time, there are new people entering the story.
Jaideep Ahlawat joins as SP Rajveer Singh Tomar
One of the biggest new additions to the cast is Jaideep Ahlawat.
He plays SP Rajveer Singh Tomar, a police officer who appears to be taking charge of the case involving Vijay Salgaonkar.
Ahlawat’s character poster was also released on August 29. In the poster, he is seen wearing black glasses, with a message suggesting that the case is now on his table and that he intends to both open and close it himself.
His entry is important because Akshaye Khanna, who played the police officer in Drishyam 2, is not returning for the third film.
Ahlawat is therefore stepping into a new role in the investigation rather than simply continuing the same character.
Tabu and Shriya Saran return
The new film will also bring back Tabu as IG Meera Deshmukh and Shriya Saran as Nandini Salgaonkar.
Tabu’s Meera has remained closely connected to Vijay’s story since the first film. Her character has always been determined to uncover the truth surrounding her son’s death.
Shriya, meanwhile, returns as Vijay’s wife Nandini.
The family remains at the heart of the story, and the latest posters suggest that the events of the previous films have continued to affect them even after several years.
Rajat Kapoor is also returning as Mahesh Deshmukh. Prakash Raj and Ishita Dutta are among the other actors associated with the film.
Abhishek Pathak directs the film
Abhishek Pathak is directing Drishyam The Conclusion.
He also directed the second Hindi instalment, which was released in 2022. The screenplay and writing for the new film have been credited to Abhishek Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh.
The film is presented by Star Studio18 and produced by Panorama Studios.
The Hindi Drishyam series itself is based on the Malayalam franchise created by filmmaker Jeethu Joseph. The first Hindi film, starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Shriya Saran, arrived in 2015.
The second part followed seven years later.
Now, the makers are bringing the story to its final chapter.
October 2 release date locked
With the latest posters being released, the countdown to October 2 has officially begun.
The makers have been revealing the characters one by one instead of giving away the full story. That approach has kept the main plot under wraps.
For now, the posters show Vijay under pressure, Meera still connected to the case, Nandini carrying the weight of the past and a new police officer, Rajveer Singh Tomar, preparing to investigate.
What exactly happened after the events of Drishyam 2 will be answered when Drishyam The Conclusion reaches cinemas.
Ajay Devgn will return as Vijay Salgaonkar on October 2, 2026, with the film being promoted as the final chapter of the popular crime thriller franchise.
