On this occasion I salute the great American people for their great achievements and outstanding contributions in various fields.
Many people criticise Americans, but I am their great admirer. I go to America often, and found every American I met to be a fine person

No doubt Americans have made great mistakes, like invading Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, or inflicting slavery on blacks till the Civil War, and oppression on them even thereafter, but which people have not made mistakes ? Have we Indians not oppressed dalits and miniorities ?
Having made these mistakes, the American people realised them, and corrected themselves

How can one forget America’s great contribution in defeating Hitler’s monstrous tyranny and Japanese fascism in World War II ?
And how can one forget that America set up the first Republic in modern times, free of kings and aristocrats ?
How can one forget their outstanding contributions in science and technology, which enabled them to even land on the moon ?

How can one forget the great literature of Mark Twain, Walt Whitman, Upton Sinclair, John Steinbeck, Ernest Hemingway, etc ?
How can one overlook the excellent system of education set up in America, from nursery upto Universities like Harvard and Yale, where youth of the whole world aspire to be admitted, and eminent scientific institutes with the latest equipment ?
Long may the American Declaration of Independence inspire the whole world !
Long live the American people !
