Why are Indians leaving India ?
Those Indians who can do so, are increasingly leaving India and going to settle abroad, as this article explains :
https://www.facebook.com/share/1CRaBbM3ou
Many migrate illegally, as shown in the Hindi film ‘Dunki’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsi Pannu ( though the second part of the film showing that many gladly and voluntarily return to India is unrealistic ).
Every year 2.5 million Indians migrate overseas, which is the highest annual number of migrants from any country. Many are renouncing Indian citizenship
Why are Indians leaving ( if they can ) ? Many reasons have been given, but I am giving my own :
1. Most people migrate to get better lives economically. In India unemployment is at a record level and rising. It is estimated that 12 million youth enter the job market in India every year, but less than half a million jobs are being created annually in the organised sector of the Indian economy. So where do the remaining 11 1/2 millions end up ? They become hawkers, street vendors, stringers, bouncers, criminals, beggars or suicides, and many girls become prostitutes.
If a single class 4 ( peon’s) job is advertised by the government, there are thousands of applications, many from holders of Ph.D M.Sc, MBA or engineering degrees, all begging for a chaprasi’s job.
So why should one remain in a country where the future is dark, for oneself and for one’s children
2. As regards the businessmen and professionals, they are feeling unsafe in a country whose economy has stagnated, whose politicians are a bunch of unpatriotic corrupt crooks who only want power and pelf by hook or crook, have no genuine love for the country, and have no vision as to how to take the country forward, and restore the economy. Consequently the future of India seems dark and turbulent
3. Why should one remain in a country which has huge air and river pollution, whose cities are overcrowded with traffic jams etc, with mounds of garbage and filth everywhere, with prices of food and other essential commodities touching the sky, and corruption everywhere ?
No wonder Indians are migrating abroad
