Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 released on November 14, 2025, and had a lot of hype in regards to its multiplayer, Zombies, and campaign, which was set in 2035. But players are angry. Steam and Metacritic score low in terms of user ratings. Even Steam has it as Mixed with the lowest percentage of 44% out of more than 1,000 reviews. It is currently the lowest rated user-rated Call of Duty on Metacritic.

It makes co-op forced even solo, and the bullet-sponge enemies and health bars like Warzone. No twists, no more than nostalgia bait. One of them rated it at 3/10 which is less than MWIII. Ends with a push to DMZ mode.

Slower servers, crashing, bad netcode, spawns ugly, hackers premature. Jogging wearies the players, sound mix lousy, head glitches all over. Aim is floated, too high flinch. Open playlists feel fake. There are low numbers of players on launch.
Zombies and Other Modes Mixed but WeakZombies guns are weak on high rounds, points system negative, elites such as bears are annoying. Called “mid” or a chore. Others have a liking to new modes, but not enough to redeem it. Beta contains SBMM hate, doors suck, progression slow.Technical Issues and AI SlopActivision has a list of known bugs such as crashes and glitches. AI generated calling cards referred to as trash. Game feels like $70 DLC for BO6. Fewer players compared to the previous one.
