Honey Bunny and Guns & Gulaabs, recent ventures by Raj & DK, who have always set the bar high through their signature blend of gripping narratives, complex characters, and seamless genre-bending, but these two didn’t live up to those expectations. Both have poorly developed plots, underdeveloped characters, and direction which is very inconsistent and hasn’t captured the trademark charm of the creators. While Citadel flails with convoluted storytelling, Guns & Gulaabs falters with tonal inconsistencies. But amidst these stumblings, the creative acumen of Raj & DK remains laudable; they still hold out on promising to deliver great, boundary-pushing stories for those in the audience.
