The Double Role Deception: The speculation for a double role intensified around May 2026 when the actor dropped the salt-and-pepper avatar that he had flaunted for the movie’s promotional pictures. It was then deduced by various reports that a new look was a massive hint for the actor playing dual roles.
Siddharth Anand Directs: Initial reports linked Sujoy Ghosh to direct the film, however, recently, it was revealed that Siddharth Anand, who previously directed Shah Rukh Khan in the 2023 blockbuster Pathaan, has come on board to direct and co-produce King*. The former is writing the story for the movie.
Stunning Ensemble Cast: Making the project even more noteworthy is the big theatrical debut of SRK’s daughter, Suhana Khan, along with a formidable cast that includes Abhishek Bachchan in the negative lead, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, and Rani Mukerji.
Release Date: The film is expected to hit the screens this Christmas on December 24, 2026.

Siddharth Anand’s Vision

In a candid interview previously, Siddharth Anand mentioned he is treating King as if it were his first film despite the box office success of Pathaan. He had emphasized not to fall into a ‘success formula’ while stating that the movie will be a raw, fearless action thriller and not just commercially driven.

If the King star essays another double role, joining the legendary double act performances in films like Jawan, Don, and Om Shanti Om, this movie is set to be an absolute visual treat for the audience.
