Shah Rukh Khan Reveals his New Look as King; Film to Hit Screens on 24th December 2026

Shah Rukh Khan is sharing new posters and looks from his upcoming film King and on October 27, the actor uploaded a new poster in which he can be seen in a rugged avatar with a flower in his mouth and a gun in hand. The new poster has added a new buzz around the film which is releasing across the world on December 24, 2026.

The new poster features Shah Rukh with unkempt hair, a bruise on the face and a piercing stare in his eyes. He is shown surrounded by smoke and fire and has a brooding action-centric look on his face.
He posted the poster on his social media handle captioning, “Aaj phir yaad aayi… Qaatil nahi… Aashiq hoon…” He also announced the date of the film on his post.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Caption Recalls Baadshah
There’s also an echo in the line “Qaatil nahi…Aashiq hoon” for fans of Shah Rukh Khan long enough to have followed him. It’s in the title song of his 1999 film Baadshah, where SRK was seen strutting a superhit mix of action and comedy.
The latest poster seems to be getting some fun out of that image of Shah Rukh as the love-boy, but throwing him into a far more rough-and-tumble situation. The rose between his lips pops out against the fire, gun and the blood visible on him.

When Will King Release in Theatres?
King will be released in theaters globally on the 24th of December 2026, during the Christmas holidays.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film marks SRK’s third collaboration with the director after he made him do a Pathaan (2023). Shah Rukh had, the last time, seen a blockbuster at the box office was with Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, which all released in 2023.
The makers have not yet revealed the full story through the new poster. Further information about the story and the star cast is much awaited, meanwhile the viewers are awaiting the teaser.
In the meantime, the most recent poster provides a crisp preview of the look of the film – a bandaged up gun in hand, Shah Rukh Khan striding through a blaze, a rose clenched in his teeth and a line that revisits his romantic onscreen persona.
King is here! Marking the countdown to the film, which will be in theatres on December 24.
