The Indian education system has overemphasized competitive exams such as IIT-JEE, NEET, and CLAT. This places an enormous burden on students and pays little heed to skills in practical fields and varied career paths. Less than 1% of aspirants are successful, and many fall into depression and financial strain. They have been taught by rote learning and mere theoretical knowledge that fails to equip them for real challenges in life. Instead, more promising prospects and more stability in terms of monetary gains can be seen in careers in digital marketing, coding, and vocational training. Most students will find greater success in the current fast-changing market if they shift their emphasis from exam scores to practical knowledge, creativity, and adaptability.
