By combining history with workmanship, India’s first luxury microbrand, Jaipur Watch Company (JWC), has become a fierce rival to Swiss behemoths such as Rolex and Rado. Established in 2013 by Gaurav Mehta, JWC is known for its custom coin watches with historical Indian money, which provide uniqueness and narrative value. JWC is redefining Indian luxury with a turnover of Rs. 6 crores, a great Shark Tank India performance, and sold-out limited editions like the Raja Ravi Varma line. Expanding to five stores—including Rambagh Palace in Jaipur—and arriving in Dubai by 2025—indicates India’s increasing impact in world high horology.
