What is there to fear ?
Many people asked me whether I am not afraid in saying things which they regard dangerous
I replied by quoting a doha ( couplet ) of the great Hindi poet Rahim :
” Chaah gayi, chinta miti,
manua beparwaah
Ja ko kachu na chaahiye
Shahan ke woh Shah “
I am 79 years old, with only a few years more to live, so what I have to fear now ? I am sitting in the departure lounge of an airport, waiting for the flight which will take me to the next world.
At this age, my chaah ( desires ) are gone, my ‘chinta’ ( worries ) are over, and my ‘man’ ( mind ) is beparwaah ( without anxiety ).
At this age I want nothing ( Ja ko kachu na chaahiye ). Whatever I wanted I have got
So now I am an Emperor of Emperors ( Shahan ke Shah ).
What is there to fear now ?
