Why Most Reviews Have Given 0 Stars to Salman Khan’s Sikandar Movie

With A.R. Murugadoss directing, Salman Khan’s most recent film, Sikandar, was much awaited as an Eid release in 2025 On its opening, nevertheless, the film was greeted with a lot of bad reviews; many critics and viewers gave it the lowest possible ratings.

This essay explores the causes of such a poor reception, stressing certain flaws and providing a sarcastic analysis of the way the movie is shot. ＀

A predictable and cliched narrative

The unoriginal plot of Sikandar is key in explaining its failure. The story centers on Sanjay Rajkot (Salman Khan), a kind king set out to guard the organs of his late wife from a sinister minister. Though maybe touching, this notion is hampered by a cliched and predictable story lacking depth or surprises.

Critics have bemoaned the movie’s dependence on tired clichés, which gives it the impression of a rerun of innumerable Bollywood tragedies past.

Inadequate Action Sequences

Larger-than-life action roles are something Salman Khan is known for, therefore Sikandar expected to perform on this front.

Kevin Kumar’s choreography for the action scenes in the movie, however, has been called unimaginative and repetitious.

Though they take place in different places—an aircraft, a train, a jail, a hospital—these sequences fall short in offering anything fresh.

In Khan’s movies, the slow-motion images, flying goons, and exploding automobiles have grown so ordinary that they no longer thrill viewers. The filmmakers seemed to think that altering the backdrop would cover the action’s repetition.

Disappointingly poor performance

Although Salman Khan has unquestionable star power, his performance as Sanjay Rajkot comes across as bored and disconnected. A individual coping with the death of a spouse and the subsequent task to respect her memory needs far more emotional depth.

Underused, Rashmika Mandanna plays the late wife Saisri mostly in songs and a few brief sequences.

Her performance is forgettable given the little screen time and lack of development of her character. Even seasoned performers like Sathyaraj, who plays the antagonist, cannot improve the movie above its poor screenplay.

Unintentionally humorous action scene

Unintentional comedy is one of the film’s side effects from its too extreme action scenes. One could question if Sanjay’s single-handed attack on an army of henchmen equipped with nothing but a toothpick was created of papier-mâché given their sheer simplicity.

In another turn, he delivers a monologue about justice while leaping from a moving train onto a helicopter ladder. These scenes leave viewers repressing laughing at their sheer foolishness, not highlighting the hero’s skill. 😊

Romantic Pairing Based on Age Inappropriate

Rashmika Mandanna, 28, was paired opposite Salman Khan, 58-year-old, which has generated criticism and raised questions.

Not only is the 30-year age difference between the starring duo startling, but it also helps to explain why the movie lacks plausibility. Audiences have voiced displeasure with this combination and questioned the industry’s inclination for casting much younger girls against older male stars.

This pattern, clear in Sikandar, highlights a more general problem in Bollywood about gender roles and ageism.

Sikandar is a warning about the dangers of depending just on formulaic storytelling and star ability.

Critics and viewers alike will find a movie devoid of resonance resulting from its predictable storyline, poor action scenes, uninspiring performances, and dubious casting decisions.

Although some of Salman Khan’s supporters would find entertainment value, the general agreement is that Sikandar falls short, providing only inadvertent humor and a reminder that even the biggest stars are not immune to cinematic misfires.
