“Sunita is a member of my family and I will protect my family,” Kashmera stated in conversations with the photographers. She went on to say, “If you want to write, then write one thing, that I stand with Sunita.”

Kashmera’s public support for Sunita comes just a few months after the two had reconciled following a 14-year rift over family matters. The conflict often spilled into public view, especially given the individual differences between Krushna and Govinda.
Earlier this year, Sunita appeared on the show ‘Laughter Chefs 3’, where she was reunited with both Krushna and Kashmera. This moment led to an emotional outpouring, with Kashmera apologising to Sunita for past disagreements, and Sunita reciprocating by expressing her desire to forgive them. Sunita mentioned that Kashmera shed tears during her apology and also spoke about seeing their children after years, expressing happiness at being reunited.
This makes Kashmera’s current stance significantly more important, signaling a continued bond with Sunita and a united front in a trying family situation, regardless of their past issues.
What Led to the Govinda and Sunita Controversy?
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been married since 1987, with two children. Recently, their marital issues resurfaced after Sunita’s public remarks about Govinda’s professional relationship with his young co-star, Komal Rani Swarnkar. Sunita questioned Govinda’s associations, labelling him a “sugar daddy” in paparazzi conversations.
