I am sorry to say that while Bangladeshis have displayed great valour in their agitation against that tyrant and autocrat, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, which resulted in her resigning and fleeing from the country, Pakistanis have mostly behaved in a cowardly manner before the generals who have unleashed a fascist reign of terror in Pakistan.
By now the Pakistani people should have started a guerilla war against the fascist Pakistani army, like the Vietcong in South Vietnam, or the Taliban in Afghanistan, which would have brought the Pak army to its senses.
An army can fight another army, it cannot fight the masses. A tiger can kill a prey, it cannot kill a swarm of mosquitoes. Since about 90% Pakistanis support Imran Khan ( as all opinion polls show ) one would have expected the Pakistanis to rise up like the brave Bangladeshis against tyranny, even if as a consequence thousands were killed
But the people of Pakistan did nothing when the Pakistan Establishment ( meaning it’s army ) arrested, tortured and jailed over 14,000 people, including women and children, after the events of 9th May, 2023 ( which many people believe were stage managed by the army in collusion with Nawaz Sharif under the London plan ). These people have been in jail for over an year in inhuman conditions. The judiciary and the media of Pakistan have shamelessly surrendered before the army, and do its bidding
All that Imran Khan’s PTI did was to organize a ‘jalsa’ on 8th September demanding release of Imran Khan, as if a jalsa can result in his release. By giving a call for such a futile action in fact the PTI leaders ( many of whom have been arrested ) have proved their ineptitude and lack of understanding of realities.
The only exception are the brave people of Balochistan who have created a Balochistan Liberation Army which recently killed over 100 Pakistani soldiers. The Balochs have shown the correct path to all people of Pakistan
