Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, and Rajpal Yadav draw massive crowds during promotions in Moradabad For Welcome to the Jungle

The Madness at TMU Nobody expected this many people to show up on a Monday. Moradabad basically shut down around Teerthanker Mahaveer University. Thousands of students crammed into the campus ground.

They were waiting for the cast of Welcome to the Jungle.

The university organized the promotional event in association with Hindustan. When the actors finally arrived, the noise was deafening. It felt more like a massive music concert than a standard movie promotion. Akshay Kumar walked out first.

Disha Patani followed right behind him.

Rajpal Yadav and Bhojpuri film star Akshara Singh joined them on the stage shortly after. The crowd went completely wild. Students were climbing on chairs and barricades just to get a clear photo of the stars.

Security had a really tough time keeping the front rows from spilling onto the stage. The energy was totally raw. The cast looked genuinely surprised by the sheer number of people waiting for them in the heat.

Before getting to Moradabad, the paparazzi caught the actors at the airport.

They were already in high spirits. They joked with the photographers before boarding their flight to Uttar Pradesh. That same energy translated directly to the live audience once they landed. Dancing and Banter on Stage Akshay Kumar knows exactly how to handle a live crowd.

He did not just stand there and wave at the cameras.

He grabbed a microphone and started talking directly to the students in the back rows. The music started playing suddenly. It was the film’s new track called Ghis Ghis Ghis.

Akshay pulled Akshara Singh forward. The two of them broke into the exact dance routine from the music video. The crowd screamed the lyrics back at them.

Akshara is already a massive name in Bhojpuri cinema.

Her presence clearly drew a large chunk of the local crowd who knew her work. Then Rajpal Yadav took over. He did what he does best. He started firing off jokes.

He used his trademark physical comedy and timing.

The entire ground was laughing. He bantered heavily with Akshay on stage. It looked entirely unscripted.

Disha Patani kept the excitement going by taking selfies with the fans near the front barricades. She interacted with the students and hyped up the upcoming movie. Students kept sharing shaky videos and photos from the event across social media all afternoon.

Long after the actors left the venue, the campus was still buzzing.

A Giant Cast and High Stakes This Moradabad event is just a small piece of a massive marketing puzzle. Welcome to the Jungle is a giant movie. It releases in theaters on June 26. Ahmed Khan directed this third installment of the famous comedy franchise.

The original Welcome came out back in 2007 and was a huge hit.

Welcome Back followed in 2015. The studio is spending heavily to bring this new one to the screen. The cast list is ridiculously long.

Akshay, Disha, and Rajpal were the only ones in Moradabad. But the actual movie features Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, and Jacqueline Fernandez. Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade are also in it.

Bringing all these actors together is expensive.

The producers need the movie to open big. The plot sounds totally chaotic. A billionaire wants to fake financial losses. So he plans to make a movie that is guaranteed to fail completely.

He hires a clueless director duo and a fading superstar to do the job.

The Censor Board Cuts Behind the scenes, the makers just finished dealing with the Central Board of Film Certification. The movie got cleared for release recently. But it was not a smooth process.

The censor board demanded 18 cuts and modifications before giving it a green light. The film now holds a UA 16+ certificate. The runtime is quite long.

It sits at 2 hours and 44 minutes.

The board forced the studio to change several dialogues. For example, a line that said “Kala paida hua hai koayla hai” was swapped out. Now it says “Saadah paida hua namoona hua hai”. Another dialogue talking about the Gorkha Regiment was removed.

They replaced it with a generic line asking if the character is from the army.

The censor board also cut out some specific words from the subtitles. They removed the word screwed. They also flagged several visuals featuring Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez.

The board called the bikini scenes and certain dance movements sensual. They ordered the director to trim those close-up shots. In some places, they replaced controversial hand gestures with a reaction shot of actor Vindu Dara Singh.

Altogether, about ten seconds of visual footage got deleted from the final print.

The Build Up to the June 26 Release Akshay Kumar really needs a massive hit right now. He recently told reporters that doing comedy is harder today than it used to be. People have short attention spans now. They watch memes and short reels all day.

Making them laugh for almost three hours in a dark theater is a tough job.

The response in Moradabad shows that the ground level hype is actually real. Teerthanker Mahaveer University proved that people in smaller cities are eager to watch a big Bollywood comedy. The advance ticket sales will open soon.

Ticketing apps already show a lot of interest in the film. The movie will face some competition at the box office, but an open comedy usually finds its audience. June 26 is just around the corner.

The cast will probably hit a few more cities before opening day.

The real test begins when the morning shows finally start playing across the country.
