Continual Association of MS Dhoni with CSK
From the start of the IPL, CSK has had the great wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni right at hand.
Using the new IPL rule allowing players who haven’t participated in international cricket in the last five years to be categorized as uncapped, CSK kept Dhoni among their five players ahead of the 2025 season.
This calculated action helped CSK to keep Dhoni at a reasonably priced ₹4 crore. Dhoni stepped down from captaincy in 2024, but he returned in 2025 following an elbow injury to Gaikwad.
The team still much values his leadership and experience, particularly in trying circumstances.

But CSK broke their losing run with a five-wicket triumph over Luckown Super Giants. This turnabout was aided by strategic improvements like adding fresh talent like Shaik Rasheed and Jamie Overton.
The undefeated 26-run effort from Dhoni was crucial for this victory.
Change in Leadership: Future Prospects

Former CSK player Suresh Raina also backed Dhoni’s ongoing participation by stressing his fitness and strategic value for the squad. 😊
