Released in theatres on 2 October 2026, the film has returned a fan favourite of the last couple of years of Hindi crime thrillers. His previous hit, Abhishek Pathak, picks up the story as Vijay and his family have spent years on the run after the events of the first two.

The release date is also embedded in the narrative of the franchise. October 2nd is a key date in Vijay Salgaonkar’s tenaciously devised alibi in Drishyam. The filmmakers have repurposed that date for Drishyam Day for the final film.

Ajay Devgn Returns as Vijay Salgaonkar

Once more, Ajay Devgn stars as Vijay Salgaonkar, the cable operator and film enthusiast, whose aptitude for visualising the end game has been the franchise’s trademark.

-The character crafted a detailed story in the first movie to hide an accidental death from his family.

In Drishyam 2, Vijay had crossed all the lines to protect his family and hide the truth from the police.

3rd film starts off where everything prior had left off.

Vijay faces trouble once again, as the case of the investigation against his family gets more complex.

Ahead of the release of the film, the promotional material had already made it clear that Vijay’s past had already stopped hunting him, despite his best efforts to create a canvas of his own.

Tabu Returns as Meera Deshmukh

Meera Deshmukh (Tabu) – It’s never easy to play the sassy police officer … especially when you are the bad guy in a film. Tabby reprising his role as the actor.

Though her personal involvement in the case has made the clash between her and Vijay unlike any normal police investigation.

She is still probing for the truth when it comes to her sons death and the aftermath.

Shriya Saran is back as Nandini Salgaonkar, Vijay’s wife, while Ishita Dutta is back as his daughter Anju.

Rajat Kapoor is also back as Mahesh Deshmukh.

Jaideep Ahlawat Joins the Story

He was recently seen in the second season of Paatal Lok. Paatal Lok Season 2 Release Date.

Ahlawat’s role in the new investigation will be Rajveer Singh Tomar.

Enter the new investigator, and the story takes a new turn. Vijay now has a new set of people to deal with, not just those who have been following the case since its inception.

Prakash Raj also appears in a pivotal role.

So the film will see some members of the cast returning and others new as it heads to the final act.

Abhishek Pathak Directs the Final Film

Abhishek Pathak reprises his role as director in Drishyam: The Conclusion.

Pathak directed Drishyam 2, and he has co-authored the third film with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh.

The franchise was launched in the Hindi language in 2015 with Drishyam, and Drishyam 2 in 2022.

The first film was a remake of the same-titled Malayalam film, which starred Mohanlal. The second film, in Hindi, was a huge box-office hit and further developed the story from the Malayalam second part.

The Hindi Franchise Ends With This Film

Not just a tag-line: the title of the film alone is proof enough of the confidence or the cleverness of the makers of the film entitled Drishyam: The Conclusion.

Pathak has also confirmed that the Hindi franchise is finished after its third film.

He has also stated that the Hindi and Malayalam versions of the film Drishyam are diverging now.

The Malayalam franchise can go on without Mohanlal, but the Hindi franchise has to be concluded with Vijay Salgaonkar’s story in this film.

Pathak has confirmed there will be no fourth Hindi Drishyam.

This is what makes the new movie unlike many other franchises that make a ton of money where they produce a sequel.

Since the third part is the concluding part of this story, the film-makers decided to wrap up the story of Vijay and his family in this part.

A Story Built Around October 2

Since the release of Drishyam in 2013, October 2 has been a significant date for the Drishyam story.

Vijay and his family fabricated a detailed story of their activities on October 2 to fabricate an alibi.

They said that they had travelled to Panaji, dined in a restaurant, watched a film and stayed for the night.

And the plan turned out to be one of the most memorable moments of the first Drishyam.

Once more, October 2 is a significant aspect of the third film. The date was selected purposely because of how significant it has become in the life of Vijay.

What Makes Drishyam: The Conclusion Different?

The first two movies were based on this central question: can Vijay save his family from the fallout?

Here the story reaches the third stage.

Rather than re-using the same formula, the filmmakers have opted to replace the characters and get a new investigation.

Jaydeep Ahlawat’s Rajveer Singh Tomar is a vital other for Vijay and same as that, Tabu’s Meera Deshmukh will stay hooked up to the tale.

So the film thus combines the earlier investigation with the then latest twists on the Salgaonkar family.

Prior to its release in cinemas, Drishyam: The Conclusion was awarded a UA 16+ certificate by Central Board of Film Certification.

Release Date The movie is released on 2:30.

Biggest Opening of Ajay Devgn’s Career

Ajay Devgn gets his best ever opening day. The first-day collection has also given Ajay Devgn his best opening day ever, reports based on initial box-office estimates.

The franchise’s popularity and the long gap after the release of ‘Drishyam 2’ has contributed to the film’s success.

So, it’s been about four years since the last film was released in 2022.

The huge pre-release booking had already signaled enormous levels of interest. Before the film was released in cinemas, reports had put the gross advance booking figure above 60 crore.

Early Audience Response
