Moeed Pirzada is in my opinion the best journalist of Pakistan today, being brave and upright. I have praised him several times in articles, tweets, etc

Moeed had to flee from Pakistan in view of his courageous anti-Pakistan Establishment stand, and for quite some time he has been living in USA, from where he posts his vlogs on Youtube and Twitter almost daily ( sometimes several times daily )
However, he faces some dilemmas, which I have described in this article :

I regret to say that his latest vlog, which is given below, is totally disappointing
In this vlog, Moeed mentions the calling off by Imran Khan’s PTI of the earlier announced ‘jalsa’ ( public gathering ) at D-Chowk in Islamabad on 15th October to protest against Imran Khan’s incarceration in Adiala jail since August last year, and making him incommunicado since 6th October, not even allowing his sister, doctor, or lawyer to meet him. Since the Pakistan government has now announced that Imran Khan’s doctors can meet him in jail, the jalsa has been called off, and Moeed has described it as a ‘partial victory’ for the PTI.
In this latest vlog Moeed has quite correctly said that the PTI leaders, caring only for their personal welfare, seem to have become hand in glove with the Pakistan Establishment. He also correctly said that Imran Khan will be kept incommunicado for a long time, so that he cannot communicate with and give any instructions to the PTI leaders who are not in jail, nor influence them in any way .
However, having said that Moeed thereafter obfuscated, giving a rambling talk on several issues, often totally unconnected with each other. He referred to the SCO summit in Islamabad, attacks on Chinese personnel in Pakistan, Gwadar airport, Indian foreign minister Jaishankar’s visit to Pakistan for the SCO summit, Barkha Dutt’s interview of Nawaz Sharif, regime change, attacks by the police on students in Lahore protesting against a rape, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, etc.
What Moeed will never say is what is the way out for the Pakistani people.
After the events of 9h May, 2023 ( which many say were stage managed ) the Pakistan army unleashed a fascist reign of terror in Pakistan, suppressing all civil liberties and human rights in Pakistan, like Gen Pinochet in Chile, or Gen Franco in Spain. About 14,000 innocent persons were arrested on trumped up charges, many beaten and tortured, and then incarcerated in jail, where they are still languishing in inhuman conditions for over an year. The judiciary, whose solemn duty is to uphold the Constitution and protect the rights and liberties of the people ( as contained in Articles 8 to 28 of the Pakistan Constitution ), has turned a Nelson’s eye to these atrocities, and become servile to the executive and its toady. The media has been largely silenced.
In this situation there is only one way out for the Pakistan people : the path of guerilla warfare against the Pakistan army, but Moeed will never mention this, and instead will talk of everything else under the sun.

‘Jalsas’ and peaceful protests are useless against the Pakistan army, which has the gun, and a Vendemiarie may well occur anytime if this path is pursued, as it happened in Paris in October 1795, when the mob was dispersed by a ‘whiff of grapeshot’ from Gen Napoleon Bonaparte’s troops :
The people of Pakistan, to get freedom from these fascists, must resort to arms, as pointed out by the great freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Surya Sen ( Masterda ), Bismil, Ashfaqullah, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Khudiram Bose, etc.
In fact guerilla war has begun in Balochastan

Some people may ask : where will the guns come from to wage this guerilla war ? The answer is that in guerilla war guerillas snatch the guns from the enemy, and then fight with them
The Pakistan army generals and other senior officers think they are safe. They forget they have families, and these are exposed to attacks by the guerillas. After all, wives have to go out of their houses sometimes for shopping or social visits, and their children have to go to school/college. That is the time when the guerillas will strike.
The Pakistani generals think themselves too clever by half, but they do not realise that by imposing fascism and an undeclared martial law in Pakistan they have set ablaze a fire which will sooner or later consume them, other officers, and their families, too. They do not realise that destroying the judiciary and suppressing the media is going to unleash large-scale violence and guerrilla war all over Pakistan, causing massive horrors and deaths.
I shudder to say this, but the speech made by Mark Antony before Caesar’s body ( in Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar ) portents the days which are coming in Pakistan:
”A curse shall light upon the limbs of men; domestic fury and fierce civil strife shall cumber all the parts of Italy; blood and destruction shall be so in use and dreadful objects so familiar that mothers shall but smile when they behold their infants quarter’d with the hands of war; all pity choked with custom of fell deeds: and Caesar’s spirit, ranging for revenge, with Ate by his side come hot from hell, shall in these confines with a monarch’s voice cry “havoc!” and let slip the dogs of war; that this foul deed shall smell above the earth, with carrion men, groaning for burial.”
It is true many lives will be lost in guerilla warfare, but that is the price people have to pay for getting liberty.
I hope wisdom dawns on Moeed Pirzada one day
