A cockroach shuns light. If a light is suddenly shone on it, it runs helter and skelter to find a place to hide.
The same happens to human cockroaches like Pakistani so called ‘intellectuals’ e.g. Dr Ishtiaq Ahmed. Dr Pervez Hoodbhoy, Raza Rumi, Akbar Ahmed, Hafiz Saad, Ayesha Jalal, Ayesha Siddiqa, Najam Sethi, etc. They will run for cover if confronted with 3 truths :
1.Pakistan is a fake, artificial country created by the Partition of 1947, which was a British swindle on the basis of the bogus 2 nation theory.
2. Pakistan is a part of India, and will inevitably reunite with India one day.
3. Jinnah was a shameless, ambitious, rascal, and a British agent ( like Gandhi ).
If confronted with these 3 truths, Pakistanis will rave and scream, and run hither and thither, like cockroaches on whom light has suddenly been shone. That is because they would not like to become wajib al qatl, and have tan se juda done by extremists in Pakistan.
In this article I will refer to only one of such Pakistani human cockroaches viz Dr Ishtiaq Ahmed, who lives in Sweden.
It all began with an online video discussion featuring Dr Ishtiaq Ahmed and me, hosted by Dr Hassan Zafar of Lahore :
After the above online video discussion I wrote this article :
I sent the above article to Dr Ishtiaq, in response to which I received the following rancorous and acrimonious reply, comparing my views to that of Hamas and Iran :
” Thank you Justice Sahib for sharing your views. I don’t think you read either my The Punjab Bloodied, Partitioned and Cleansed or Pakistan the Garrison State or the recent Jinnah: His Successes, Failures and Role in History. If you had you would not assert that I in any remote sense even approve or support the two-nation theory. I have scores of video talks in which I have said this. Having said that, my standpoint is based entirely on how states which come into being do all to retain their territorial integrity and the expenditure on defence is justified just for that. Pakistan is a classic case of that. It is surprising that this self-evident truth escapes your grasp. I think that is the only point on which we actually disagree. If your ideal idea of a united India is accepted then you have to explain why more than 30 states have emerged in the Arab world when once they were all part of the Ottoman Empire. And above all your position on the existence of states is identical to Hamas and Iran’s position that they want to liquidate Israel because it is an artificial imposition (which is true). I think you need to reflect on such comparative examples ”.
In reply, I sent Dr Ishtiaq the following article :
In response, Dr Ishtiaq then sent me this email

Justice Sahib,
If you are going to rely on Wikipedia entries to know who I am then we are all doomed. At Wikipedia anyone can come and make an entry and the person in question is not permitted to correct the information.
I know one entry, by a fellow who hounds me all over, says I argue that the two-nation theory did not mean that Hindus and Muslims could not live together. This is malevolent distortion but I am helpless in correcting it. The editors seem unwilling to let me correct that misinformation.
If you seriously want to know what I stand for at least do me the courtesy of getting my book, Jinnah: His Successes, Failures and Role in History where I have conducted the most systematic destruction of the two-nation theory over 808 pages.
Best Regards,
Dr Ishtiaq Ahmed
To this I sent this reply :
Dr Ishtiaq, I have read your book. It is totally superficial. You have not at all dealt with the issues I have raisedJustice KatjuDr Ishtiaq’s response was :You are obsessed with something totally bizarre. I am sorry to say you have absolutely no idea how states come and go in history.Anyhow, before we resort to uncivil expressions, it is best to part waysIshtiaq Ahmed.I then wrote the following article, which I also sent to Dr Ishtiaq :https://thephilox.com/the-tragedy-of-pakistani-intellectuals-by-justice-katju/ To this Dr Ishtiaq responded :Justice Sahib, you should be ashamed to use such foul language for colleagues. In my video I tried to present your and my point of view as two strategies converging in the same goal and you call me a cockroach and phoney. Where is your sense of propriety and decency? My response was :You Pakistanis will never speak the 3 truths mentioned in my article, Just like cockroaches hate light, you hate truth. To which he responded :You are off your rocker. I am very sad to say that.I replied :It is you Pakistanis who should be ashamed for hating the truth, and running away from it like cockroaches avoiding light. He responded :You address us in such denigrating ways, and expect us to join you because of a weird conspiracy theory.I am blocking you because you are an incorrigible idiot. To which I responded :I don’t expect anything from phoney, pretentious ‘intellectuals’ like you. You Pakistanis dare not agree to the 3 truths I have mentioned, because you will then become ‘wajib al qatl’ by extremists in Pakistan or your crooked army.My interaction with that human cockroach ended there |
