Jaipur is struggling hard with an air pollution disaster as AQI levels have sky-rocketed across the city, and overcrowding in hospitals dealing with patients with breathing and lung diseases has caused mass migration to smaller towns. Vehicular emissions, industrial pollution, construction dust, and climatic conditions have all attributed to it. Schools and colleges are closed, and people have started wearing masks. But immediate measures will include controlling traffic and running public campaigns; long-term measures, however, must focus on greener initiatives and stricter industrial regulations.
