Rupee foreign investment flows

According to the recent economic forecast, it is predicted that the Indian Rupee may hit the ground level against the US Dollar by December 2025. The prediction is to touch as low as 100. As of February 2025, the rupee has touched a historic low of approximately 87.95 per USD. This most probably alludes to a possible fall of the rupee against the dollar which is partly attributed to the monetary policy of the US Federal Reserve, the current account deficit in India, and domestic inflation rates, as well as changes in foreign investment. However, such depreciation will bring about increased import costs, higher export competitiveness, and overall inflation in the country. Yet, interventions by the RBI or other unexpected global economic events may alter this scenario.
