Asim Munir
Speaking at the Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad on Wednesday, Gen Asim Munir, Pakistan army chief, reaffirmed the bogus two nation theory of that rascal Jinnah ( that Hindus and Muslims are two separate nations) on the basis of which India was partitioned in 1947. By this speech he has revealed himself as a loyal running dog of the developed nations who want Hindus and Muslims to keep fighting each other, so that united India does not emerge as a modern industrial giant, for which it has all the potential, and which is the only means of abolishing our massive poverty, massive unemployment, appalling level of child malnutrition, skyrocketing prices of food and other essential commodities, almost total lack of proper healthcare and good education for the masses, etc
Gen Munir says that Hindus and Muslims of the Indian subcontinent are different in every possible way. In other words, according to him there is nothing in common between them.
Is this assertion correct ? I submit it is not. Let me explain.
Hindus and Muslims of the Indian subcontinent share a common culture. Culture is mainly based on language, not religion, and most Indians and Pakistanis have a common language called Hindustani or Khadiboli. This is spoken and understood in large parts of our subcontinent. When I speak to my Pakistani friends on whatsApp we talk in Hindustani, and we feel no different from each other. Indians and Pakistanis living abroad socialize and intermix with each other as if no Partition had ever taken place.
Hindus and Muslims share love for Urdu poetry, classical music, etc
Upto 1857 there was no communal problem. Till then Hindus and Muslims used to live together in harmony, like brothers and sisters, helping each other in times of difficulties, and participating in each other’s festivals, Hindus participating in Eid and Muharram, and Muslims in Holi and Diwali. Muslim rulers like the Mughals ( except for Aurangzeb), the Nawabs of Avadh, etc used to participate in Holi and Diwali, organized Ramlilas, etc.
In 1857 the great Mutiny occurred, in which Hindus and Muslims jointly fought against the British. After suppressing the Mutiny, the British decided that the only way to control India was divide and rule.
How the communal virus was injected by the Britishers into our body politic from 1857 onwards year after year and decade after decade, until it resulted in Partition of 1947 ( which was a British swindle, based on the bogus two nation theory) has been explained in these articles of mine
It has also been explained in this speech by Dr BN Pande, former Professor of History of Allahabad University and Governor of Orissa, delivered in the Rajya Sabha
I have also said to Moeed Pirzada, the eminent Pakistani journalist who interviewed me when I was in California, that the communal problem in India began from 1857
I have also explained that the developed countries do not want India to emerge as a modern industrial giant, like China, for if it does, then with our cheap labour we will undersell the goods of the industries of developed countries, making the latter collapse ( since they will not be able to face our competition ), throwing millions out of employment.
From the above it is evident that the developed countries will oppose tooth and nail India’s transformation into a developed, highly industrialized country, and for that they use local agents to prevent such transformation.
The Chinese call such a local agent of foreign powers a ‘running dog’ or servile lackey.
Gen Munir fits this description. He is a loyal running dog of the developed countries, whose job is to perpetuate hostility between Hindus and Muslims, so that India does not reunite, and emerge as a modern industrial giant ( for which we have all the potential) and we continue living in poverty with the massive socio-economic problems mentioned above
It appeared Pak audience relished General’s speech which reflects that this perception shall sustain for a few centuries, at least till 2100. Peoples literacy and empowerment only can improve proper religious understanding and tolerance leading to universal affinity and peace. Till then, doors must be shut and nations at best can have serious business relation similar to China.
