In an article I wrote I called Pakistan’s army chief Gen Asim Munir a shameless ‘running dog’ ( which is a Chinese expression meaning a servile lackey ), for speaking in favour of the bogus two nation theory advocated by that rascal Jinnah, which led to the Partition of India in 1947. This Partition was a British swindle whose purpose was to ensure that united India does not emerge as a modern industrial giant, for which it has all the potential, and thus become a big rival to Western industry, like China.
Now the speech of Gen Munir has been supported by Abdul Basit, former Pakistan High Commissioner to India, and former Pakistan Ambassador to Germany, whom I have named as ‘a running dog of a running dog’
Abdul Basit is as shameless as Gen Munir, but is an intelligent man, who knows which side his bread is buttered. He knows that it is dangerous to speak against the Pakistan army or its chief, for the real ruler of Pakistan is its army. So he does not want to be ‘disappeared’, as has been the fate of many critics of the Pakistan Establishment.
Believing discretion to be the better part of valour, he faithfully parrots and echoes whatever nonsense the army chief utters, and wisely follows the adage :
” Oonth billi le gayi
To haanji haanji kehna “
i.e.
” If the king says that a cat carried away a
camel
Just nod your head, and say : quite right
Your Majesty, quite right “
So Abdul Basit will shamelessly copycat and ditto whatever nonsense the army chief will enunciate and spout, like a loyal running dog of a running dog
