Today, Sunday 20th April, 2025 is Easter, the day on which, according to Christian belief, Jesus Christ
arose from his grave after being crucified on Friday.
Easter is not merely a time of festivity, but a day that honours the resurrection of Jesus Christ who died
for our sins. Christians use Easter to pursue the hope of resurrection at the end of their own lives. The
Easter story reminds us that even in the very worst moments of life, the very darkest of nights, there is
always hope because Jesus is alive. Since he lives, suffering, pain and sorrow will not last forever. Life in
Jesus changes everything.
Let us always remember what he has done. He has forgiven our iniquities, healed our diseases,
redeemed our lives and crowned us with love and compassion. He satisfies every believer with good
things and renews youth like an eagle.
Having approached Easter this year, let us not take these beautiful moments for granted.
The Power of His Resurrection
Death is the greatest enemy of mankind. Yet Jesus is victorious over death, which does not have the
final say.
For most people , life is a struggle full of strife, a battle. Now, when there is a war there is always
someone who wins. For me, as a practising Christian, Jesus is the victor.
“He has the keys of death and hell.” (Revelation 1:8)
“He bruised the head of the serpent” (Genesis 3:15 )
Ephesians and Collosians tell us that we too are the victors because we are seated in heavenly places
with Christ far above the principalities and powers and spiritual forces.
When we enter spiritual warfare, one of the major assumptions is that warfare produces a winner. So
that winner might as well be me. In fact, it will be me!
“Now, thanks be unto God, which causes us to triumph in Christ and maketh manifest the savour of his
knowledge by us in every place” (Corinthians 2:14)
Just as the Romans celebrated their victories with grandiose victory marches through the Arch d’
Triumph, our lives are expected to be one continual gala parade of glorious.testimonies!
