Hosted at Fairmont Mumbai, the Silver Jubilee edition of FICCI Frames celebrated 25 years of advancing India’s media and entertainment landscape with FYI emerging as its most dynamic initiative, built on structured access, dignity, and opportunity for storytellers.

A Collaboration of Creative Forces

The 2025 edition of FYI was supported by a coalition of like-minded community partners:

  • IFTDA (Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association)
  • Writers’ Ink Institute
  • Kashish Pride Film Festival

Together, these partners helped FYI expand its reach and representation, ensuring that every voice regardless of background, language, or identity, found space to be heard.

“Writers want this, but producers need this.”

Boman Irani, Actor, Filmmaker, and Founder – Irani Movietone, said:

“Writers want this, but producers need this. FYI is not just a platform; it’s a wake-up call to the industry to listen, to engage, and to find the next wave of original voices. It’s heartening to see FICCI build this ecosystem of trust and structure that both sides of the table desperately need.”

“A platform that builds bridges between creators and decision-makers.”

Leena Jaisani, Deputy Secretary General, FICCI, shared:

“Frame Your Idea has become one of FICCI’s most meaningful initiatives, one that builds real bridges between creators and decision-makers. Over the years, we’ve seen writers find producers, producers find projects, and India’s storytelling culture grow stronger through this dialogue. The Silver Jubilee edition of FICCI Frames was the perfect stage for FYI’s most ambitious edition yet.”

“FYI embodies what the Indian M&E industry stands for — collaboration and courage.”

Ashish Kulkarni, Chairman, FICCI AVGC & XR Forum, said:

“FYI is a powerful reminder that the media and entertainment industry thrives on collaboration, courage, and creative empathy. It’s encouraging to see so many producers open their doors to new voices and diverse stories. As India’s creative economy expands, FYI will continue to be a catalyst for discovery and inclusion.”

“The creative energy at FYI this year was electric.”

Munjal Shroff, Vice-Chairman, FICCI AVGC & XR Forum, noted:

“The creative energy at FYI this year was electric. To see over 3,000 one-on-one meetings happen with focus and enthusiasm under one roof — that’s extraordinary. FYI 2025 proved how structure and heart can coexist beautifully in the creative process.”

“This wasn’t just about meetings’ it was about hope.”

Viraf Patell, Actor, Writer, and Creative Director – FICCI Frame Your Idea, shared:

“We had 3,233 meetings, but really, it was about hope, writers showing up with stories that mean something to them, and producers taking the time to listen, hoping to find their next big idea or screenplay. Frame Your Idea was built to restore dignity and access for writers, and this year, it truly felt like those walls came down. I’m deeply grateful to every producer, writer, community partner and volunteer who made this movement possible.”
