Slapstick formulae might give film critics blood disorders, but not the masses who watch films on their hard earned money. Indra Kumar’s Dhamaal 4, headlined by the dead serious expression of Ajay Devgn with a smattering of the franchise mainstays in Arshad Warsi and Riteish Deshmukh has battered negative reviews and solidified itself as a box office money-spinner. The film is on a glorious march to breaching the 100 crore gross milestone worldwide, just five days after its release on July 10, 2026, proving that the franchise is as indifferent to critical bashing as ever.

Breaking The 100 Crore Wall
The box office run of the comedy sequel seems to be on a trajectory that defied weekday decline and the conventional movie hall suffering. After a gargantuan opening weekend of 65 crore net in India, analysts feared the inevitable dip in numbers. While Monday saw a correction as is standard at 8.75 crore, instead of further bleeding, the film registered a rather uncommon phenomenon: a day-on-day growth of more than 8% to rake in 9.50 crore on Tuesday, the 5th day of its release.
This growth mid-week propelled the cumulative domestic net to 83.25 crore and a worldwide gross India collection of 99.44 crore. Including the overseas total of 16 crore, Dhamaal 4 now stands at a healthy worldwide gross of 115.44 crore.
A Franchise Regains Its footing
With a staggering estimated budget hovering around 150-200 crore – the highest ever budget for the franchise – Dhamaal 4 faced the huge challenge of not being an exorbitant commercial liability. The latest numbers, however, suggest it is well on track and has outperforming early weekday trends of numerous recent high profile Bollywood comedy films.
The trend reflects that loud, ensemble based, chaotic humour continues to enjoy a sustained following in single screens as well as multiplexes across India. While critics lamented the wafer-thin script, the sheer basic chemistry between Devgn and Sanjay Mishra alone seem to have managed to keep the house full on the critical weekdays. With no new Hindi release scheduled till the Independence Day weekend, Dhamaal 4 seems to have a relatively open competitive road to continue padding its already impressive India collection.
